First Time Using Film Cameras

Last week in our media lesson we went into the studio and were introduced to how the film cameras work.
The first thing we did was set up the tripod, we learned how to extend it up and down and lock it in place.  We then had to make sure the tripods base was level, we did this by adjusting it until the black dot was in the middle of the yellow circle.

After this we got the cameras we were going to practise with, these cameras were a Sony nx5, we then practised putting them on the tripods.

We learnt how to put the battery in, turn it on and off, use the focus, the zoom and the exposure

After this we then learnt how to control the white balance on a camera, we had to zoom in on a white surface and press a button to make the image look like it does in real life, this was different when you were inside and outside.
